No matter the high chair is the traditional rattan type or modern with good safety features type, Ern can only sit properly for < 10 mins. After then, she will raise one of her leg up and turn her body side way like the photo above. Not long after that, you can see she is trying to ‘climb up’ although she has not master the ‘skill’. Oh ya, this incident happen no matter we are at home or dine outside. SAME!
Obviously she is bored. So, these are the things we do to keep her busy hoping she can sit longer.
1) Feed her biscuit
2) Give her some of our food like plain bread/rice. Of ya, if Kong Kong is around, sure she gets to taste some ice-cream.
3) Give her something to play.
4) Self feeding
Ern has not really master self feeding properly. Sometimes, she will open her hand before the food actually touches her mouth. The food dropped everywhere and we have to pick it. Honestly, self feeding can keep her stay in her high chair the longest.

What I did was, I bought the mini cereal packets. It sold as 6 mini boxes of many types, from Coco Crunch to Honey Stars, Cornflakes etc.. I will take only 1 box/outing and during meal time while Yan is sitting on high chair, will give her some on a plastic plate. It's her snack while waiting for a meal or sometimes throughout the meal..
